Everlywell alternatives for women's hormone testing
If you are weighing an Everlywell women’s hormone test against a walk-in lab test, the biggest difference is where and how the sample is taken. Everlywell sells an at-home kit and a lab-draw panel. A walk-in test is a blood draw at a lab, one hormone at a time or in a panel.
This page sets out what each offers and who each suits. We are not affiliated with Everlywell. Everlywell facts come from its own pages as of October 2026, when we read it.
Basic female hormone panel
The lowest-priced panel with estradiol, total testosterone, thyroid and general health markers. The seller says to fast for at least 8 hours.

What a walk-in lab test offers
- A blood draw at a lab. The seller’s pages for its single hormone tests describe a simple blood draw, with no urine sample, swab or physical exam.
- One hormone at a time. The seller sells separate tests for progesterone, estradiol, FSH and LH, AMH, prolactin and the testosterone tests, so you buy only what your question needs. It also sells panels.
- A stated turnaround. The seller’s pages for single tests say results appear in your account within one to three business days.
- The timing is yours to follow. Your lab order tells you whether to fast or to draw on a cycle day. See when in your cycle to test.
The seller does not sell in every state. Check the list at where testing is unavailable before you order.
What Everlywell’s pages state (October 2026)
Everlywell sells two women’s hormone options that we read.
| At-home Women’s Health Test | Women’s Hormone Panel (lab draw) | |
|---|---|---|
| Markers | Estradiol, progesterone, LH, FSH, DHEA (the page also labels it DHEA-S), cortisol, TSH, free T4, total testosterone, TPO antibodies | Estradiol, progesterone, FSH, LH, DHEA-S, testosterone, TSH, prolactin |
| Sample | Finger-prick blood card plus saliva | A standard blood draw at a lab |
| Timing | Follow the kit’s cycle-day and morning instructions | Morning, fasting preferred: draw before 10 a.m., fast 8 to 12 hours (water is fine) |
| Results | Page says 10 to 14 days | Page says 2 to 4 days after your visit |
| Not available in | New York | NY, NJ, RI, AZ, OK, MA, PA |
Both pages say a licensed clinician in your state reviews each order, and that an independent, board-certified physician licensed in your state reviews results. They say a clinician review fee applies per order unless you have its membership. Adults 18 and over can order. On the panel page, estradiol, progesterone, FSH and LH are timed to the menstrual cycle, and a clinician advises which day to draw. TSH and prolactin can be drawn any day.
Everlywell’s pages we read do not mention HSA or FSA cards, so we say nothing about them.
Who each option suits
Everlywell’s at-home kit may suit you if:
- You would rather collect at home than go to a lab.
- You want thyroid markers (TSH, free T4, TPO antibodies) and cortisol on the same order as sex hormones.
- You live in a state the walk-in seller doesn’t serve. Everlywell’s pages, as we read them, exclude only the states in the table above. Check the page for your state before you order.
Everlywell’s lab-draw panel may suit you if you want a bundle of eight markers and a lab visit with clinician review.
A walk-in lab test may suit you if:
- You want one answer, such as progesterone or AMH, not eight markers.
- You want a blood draw by lab staff and a stated one to three business days for results.
- You would rather not time and mail a sample.
None of these is “better” for everyone. Neither collection method is shown here to be more accurate. A result is a number to read with your clinician, and reference ranges differ by lab. MedlinePlus says a result outside the range may or may not be a sign of a health problem. MedlinePlus
